The world of Retro MTBs

I'll update and add more info and photos to this section over time, but for now, all I can say is that many thousands of people all over the world share a passion for mountain bikes and accessories that were around in the late 1980s/early 1990s. Many refer to this period as the 'golden era' of mountain biking, where technological advancements were almost a weekly progression, all the bikes were cool and the bling was typically anodized purple, titanium and CNC-machined, and your suspension - if any - was limited to the front end, didn't move very far, and everyone's wheels were 26" diameter.

If you're interested in finding out more, head to Instagram and look at my page @retro_mtb, search the hashtags #retromtb and #vintagemtb where you'll find a trove of photos and info from myself and many, many other fans of some of the best years in the sport and industry.

There are online communities and forums in all languages. Just hit your favorite search engine and type in anything from 'John Tomac' to 'Bradbury Manitou' or 'Yeti ARC' and 'Ringle Components' or 'Onza bar ends' to link you to millions of interesting articles and photos.
